Morning Room
A beautiful room with twin beds.
A massive window on one side overlooks historic St Michael's Church
on Main Sreet, Pembrokeshire.
The room is large and has a lovely working fireplace in the Japanoise style.
My son's favourite amusing feature in the house is here, take a look at the door frame when you stay.
Comfort enough whether you stay a day, week or month.
There is a television, video, hi-fi and lots of films, books, magazines etc.
For single occupancy of any room, please see prices.

Morning Room : £65 per
night. Including a
delicious breakfast.
Deduct £10 for Single Occupancy. See Special Offers.
The private bathroom for this room is upstairs.
I was lucky enough to find an old wash stand, not the usual marble type, this has a
china bowl with plug in the top and underneath you keep a jug of water. You pour the water into the bowl -
plug in obviously - and replace the jug in the cupboard. Then, when you are finished washing, you pull
out the plug and the water goes back into the jug. There is another cupboard below and in this is a chamber pot with lid.
So actually, this is the original en suite facility!!
My Great Aunt used to have a wash stand at her home and she used the water from her stone hot water bottle
to wash with in the mornings because it was still warm.
How practical and no waste, we could learn a lot from the past about conservation of resources.

All rooms
have tea and coffee making facilities and only
fresh milk is good enough for my guests.
Hairdryer, magazines, toiletries etc.
Most of the linen at Penfro is vintage or Egyptian Cotton.
All rooms are Non Smoking.
Grade II* Listed
The UK has a scheme whereby buildings of great historic or architectural interest
must be preserved. When a building is Listed, few changes can be made to it.
There are 5 Grades on the List.
(Lowest) Grade III, Grade II, Grade II*, Grade 1 (highest)
Penfro is Grade II* Listed and thus very special,
one of only around 20,000 such buildings in the whole of the UK.
There are several Listings for features inside the house and gardens.
The main staircase being one such.
When you stay at Penfro, you really are staying at
one of the most beautiful houses in the United Kingdom.
