Burgundy Room
In a special house, this is a very special room.
A massive window on one side frames St Michael's Church opposite (the bells no longer ring.)
Original wooden shutters allow you to choose whether to
sleep in darkness or to wake to sunlight.
There is a second smaller window at the opposite end, so that you can look out
over the ruin and gardens.
This is a room to inspire.
Come here and start writing the novel you always had in mind
or be inspired by the beauty and pick up a paint brush.
Or just enjoy and do as little as possible.

Burgundy Room : £90 per night. Including a
delicious breakfast.
Deduct £10 for Single Occupancy. See Special Offers.
The room has a double bed so you can be close to the one you love.
Rich, tactile furnishings and fabrics. This is a romantic and sensuous room.
And a large, roll-top bath for a sense of wondrous intimacy. Watch the one you love bathe.
No television in this room. Who would need one?
There is a hi-fi and a 1960's record player and records.
The private loo for this room is on the landing. Dressing gown provided.
Most of the linen used at Penfro is vintage or Egyptian Cotton.
I am happy to let the rooms for single occupancy, please see prices.
All rooms are Non Smoking.
British Double bed size 4ft 6 inches wide by 6ft 3 inches long (Continental size135 x 190cm)

All rooms
have tea and coffee making facilities and only
fresh milk is good enough for my guests.
Hairdryer, magazines, toiletries etc.
A photographic shoot took place at Penfro and I took the photo (above on this page) of one of the models, Millie. To see the wonderful results of the photoshoot, go to: Website: http://issuu.com/rosiejiggs/docs/xmas08_brochure

Penfro is Grade II* Listed and thus very special,
one of only around 20,000 such buildings in the whole of the UK.
There are several Listings for features inside the house and gardens.
The main staircase being one such.
When you stay at Penfro, you really are staying at
one of the most beautiful houses in the United Kingdom.
